ONLY 10 WEEKS AWAY

Sponsorship Update: Please help spread the word! We are hoping for 4 more sponsorships (fingers crossed – by the end of this week). If you or someone you know have been sitting on the fence about purchasing a sponsorship, please provide them with a gentle nudge to make the move. You do NOT need to provide a list of your table mates at this time – you can do so as we move closer to the event. Sponsorships can also be paid via check or cash, but can still be purchased via the “OLC Auction” event website.

Auction Item Donation Update: Various auction items are rolling on in! Thank you so much for being so creative – and please keep items coming on in! Below is a link to a GoogleSheet where we are currently keeping track of all donated items. At any time, you can add any items you have collected. LOTs of great momentum……please keep it going! Amy Pereira will contact you at a later date for more details.

Auction Item Needs: Do you know of someone who could donate a vacation rental, hotel stay, sporting event or concert tickets, anything golf related, landscaping services, BBQ grill, anything pickle-ball related, jewelry, restaurant gift cards? These are a few areas we are lacking in right now.

Help Needed

Volunteer opportunities at Bishop Hills Assisted Living. Bishop Hills is in need of volunteers to enrich the lives of our residents. Here are a few openings that we have. Great for high school students, families or individuals.

Nails: (Weekday- Anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m) Our ladies love to keep their nails looking nice with polish. Go room to room and help them pick a color from our supplies and get their nails looking great! No nail trimming required (our staff will do that). All supplies provided.

Games: (week day or weekend anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) If you enjoy playing games like Checkers, Uno, Dominos, or Skip-Bo we have residents that need some playing partners.

Popcan and Bottle Returns: (Anytime) Help Bishop Hills with our ongoing fundraiser. You pick them up and return them at Meijer store.

Passing Water: (week day or weekend Morning 10:00 or afternoon 2:30) Every resident gets a fresh glass of water delivered to their room.

Art Show: (Once a year) Are you an artist or photographer? We have a changing art display for everyone to enjoy (the artwork can be listed for sale if desired).

Bowling: (Saturday 10:00 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.) Using our plastic bowling pin set we need a crew to be our “pinsetters”, ball returners and score keeper.

Brain Games Class: (weekdays anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) Lead residents in word puzzles, fill in the blanks, word scrambles, whiteboard games to get residents thinking. We give you suggestions and ideas and you can plan the class.

Read A Loud: (weekdays or weekends anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) You pick short uplifting stories to read aloud to residents that might have a hard time reading for themselves.
