PARENTING SERIES
With Protect Young Eyes

Session 2: November 30

Wednesday, November 30 | 6:00-7:30 pm

Please join us for this new series for the families of the parish through a partnership of OLC School and OLC Faith Formation. These workshops are located in the HOLY FAMILY CENTER.

Childcare for children ages preschool and up will be provided.

A speaker from Protect Young Eyes will be leading us in this informative talk. If you have kids of any age, this one is for you! Parents, grandparents, and teens 14+ are encouraged to attend.

It takes 5 layers in order to create an environment where kids are ready for an online world that really doesn’t care about their safety and protection. This presentation covers the critical relational side of protection, PLUS monitoring software, DNS solutions, app settings, and other technical ideas for covering your bases. Both on the home network and when they’re somewhere else. This talk includes a lot of awesome, technical details! But presented in a basic and completely relatable way.

THANK YOU

From the Cookie Booth

This year’s Christmas Cookie Booth was a big success – we raised over $1300!  A sincere THANK YOU to everyone who made this fundraiser possible: the many volunteers who shared their time, the families who used their baking talents and donated cookies, and of course, our parishioners who purchased cookies and gave of their treasure.  Our OLC community is just the sweetest 😉!

Introducing Our Newest Parish Resource:

We are very excited to share our newest parish resource with you! The December issue of Magnificat will be available after Masses this weekend! We have started with a 100 copy subscription so quantities are limited. If you are unable to get one this month, please let us know so we can increase the quantity of our order.

We will continue providing The Word Among Us at this time for those who would prefer to continue using that resource but we may adjust the quantity of that resource.

What is Magnificat?

Magnificat is a spiritual guide to help you develop your prayer life, grow in your spiritual life, find a way to a more profound love for Christ, and participate in the Holy Mass with greater fervor.

Everyday, in a convenient, pocket-sized format, Magnificat offers beautiful prayers for both morning and evening drawn from the treasures of the Liturgy of the Hours, the official texts of daily Mass, meditations written by spiritual giants of the Church and more contemporary authors, essays on the lives of the saints of today and yesterday, and articles giving valuable spiritual insight into masterpieces of sacred art.
