Bishop Grady announces Fr. John Bluett as the pastor of a new Catholic Church to be built in the Winter Springs area. Three names were proposed for the new church, Fr. John chose St. Stephen, the first martyr, who lived a life of service as a Deacon in the early church community, leading prayer, preaching the Word of God and taking care of those in need. Community, service, sharing God’s Word, giving of self, all rooted firmly in prayer: this would be the vision for St. Stephen Catholic Community.
